Of course the elders change the subject. You are not supposed to know about their policy regarding sexual offenders.
But probably the society has more control of a molestor that is still inside the congregation than outside it.
Furthermore, if they should DF him, that would be an indication that he is guilty, and then there would be a risk that some people wold like to report it to the authorities, and that will bring "reproach on the congregation and on Jehovahs name"

Nope, the UN seem to more and more tolerant towards religion (especially against islam) As long as the US and the islamic countries are still in the UN nothing will happen.

Aha! A pedofile! There seem to be lots of them that didn't get DF'ed.
I think the reason is that the society want to handle such things very quiet. If such a man would be DF'ed the congregation might start asking questions.
